What this means for your family
- One or two children in seats: look at 4- and 6-berth motorhomes and confirm the exact model has the anchor points. Our 6-berth comparison lists published seat space per vehicle.
- Three or more: none of the companies that publish a limit allows more than two. Ask the company directly, or consider two vehicles.
- A baby under six months: Cruisin' doesn't hire baby seats for that age, and Travellers Autobarn fits baby seats only in two vehicles. You may need to bring your own restraint that meets AS/NZS 1754.
- You fit the seat. At Star RV, Cruisin' and Apollo, you fit the child seats yourself.

How we checked
Every company rule on this page was read on the company's own website on 22 October 2026; each row links to the page. Where a company doesn't publish a figure, we say so. Rules change: confirm in your quote before you book.
